Specialized Community Response (SCR)
The Statesville Police Department is starting an new initiative for city residents, "Specialized Community Response" (SCR), that will engage the community to partner with law enforcement in how we respond to locations that might have citizens that require specialized needs and services. SCR allows for citizens with family members that have either Autism or other Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, to register their address and locations so that in the event of an emergency, police and other first responders are prepared to adequately address the needs of that individual. Follow the links below for more information about this program or for an application. To submit a completed application or for more information, contact Crime Prevention Officer Chan Austin at (704) 878-3442 or Investigator Sharon Watts at (704) 878-3541. Please assist us in keeping our city safe and in protecting those who need it the most.

The Statesville Police Department offers a fingerprinting service to the public. Our current fingerprinting process is the rolled ink method only, as we do not have the necessary equipment to perform live-scan fingerprinting at this time. This service is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am to 11:30 am and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There is a $10.00 fee for this service and persons wishing to be fingerprinted will need to pay the fee at the City of Statesville offices (located at 301 S. Center Street) prior to being fingerprinted. Persons should then bring their fee payment receipt to the Statesville Police Department on the above days and times to be fingerprinted.
