Welcome to the Statesville Police Department's Home Page. We are proud to present the citizens of Statesville and other Internet users with information about our department and the services that we provide. We have also included links to other law enforcement related sites at the local, state, and federal level.

Mission Statement
The members of the Statesville Police Department conscientiously strive to be responsive to the needs of the community; knowing that we exist not to serve ourselves, but to serve and protect others. We will work in a cooperative effort with the community to ensure that Statesville is a city in which people can live, work, and recreate in a safe environment. Statesville is an All-America City.
Department Location
Our department is located at 330 S. Tradd St., one block from the U.S. 21 and N.C. 115 intersection. Statesville is located in the Western Piedmont area of the state near the center of Iredell County. Two major interstates, I-40 and I-77, intersect within the city limits as do three U.S. highways. Three large metropolitan areas are located within 40 miles, Charlotte to the south, Winston Salem to the east, and Hickory to the west.
Department Information
Statesville's 77 sworn officers, 2 reserve officers, and 22 civilians serve 26,069 residents within an area of 23.5 square miles. The department is made up of four patrol squads including 2 K-9's for all the Patrol squads, Criminal Investigations, Community Services, Training, Records, Communications, and Administration. Specialty areas include Narcotics, Special Operations Team (SOT), Community Relations, Police Negotiation Team, and Special Response Team (SRT).
Our officers are under the authority of the Statesville City Council and City Manager with certain aspects subject to the approval of the Statesville Civil Service Board.
