Senior Games

North Carolina Senior Games first began in 1983 with a vision to promote healthy living to citizen’s age 50 years and older all across the state.  With more than 50 activities, arts events and athletic contests, the 2016 Iredell Senior Games are set to take place April 15, 2016 – April 30, 2016.

Iredell Senior Games will showcase Iredell County Athletes in events including: track and field, performing, literary and visual arts, tennis, swimming, horseshoes, golf, bowling, billiards, basketball shoot, softball, shuffleboard, bocce, table tennis, badminton, pickle ball, and so much more.

The events are to be held across Iredell County and the schedule is as follows:

Monday, April 11, 2016 – Registration Deadline

Friday, April 15, 2016 – Breakfast and swimming events

Monday, April 18, 2016 – Bocce

Tuesday, April 19, 2016 – Billiards

Wednesday, April 20, 2016 – Shuffleboard

Thursday, April 21, 2016 – Tennis, Table Tennis, Corn hole and luncheon

Friday, April 22, 2016 – Bowling and Archery

Saturday, April 23, 2016 – Track & Field Events, Cycling, and Fun Walk

Monday, April 25, 2016 – Basketball Shoot, Badminton, and Pickle Ball

Tuesday, April 26, 2016 – Golf, Horseshoes

Wednesday, April 27, 2016 – Disc Golf and Silver Arts Drop Off

Thursday, April 28, 2016 - Performing Arts, Silver Arts Viewing, Dinner

Iredell Senior Games is one of 52 local games offered throughout North Carolina.  The local games give participants an opportunity to qualify for the North Carolina State Finals held annually in Raleigh.  Those who participate in the Raleigh State Finals then have the opportunity to qualify for the National Games which are held every other year.

The Registration fee for Iredell Senior Games is $6.00 with an additional $6.00 fee if you are planning to attend the dinner.  For more information please call 704-878-3429 or email
