5. Are there plans to expand the airport? Yes, the City of Statesville and the North Carolina Department of Transportation-Aviation Division continuously work together to update the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) and the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP). These plans are used to determine state and federal funding for airport expansion and improvment of the airport.
