The City of Statesville Government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Holiday. The closing will alter the garbage collection for the week of Jan. 17-21:
For residential routes, Monday’s garbage route will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday routes will operate on the same schedule.
For commercial businesses with toters or rollout containers, Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected on Tuesday. The rest of the week will operate on the same schedule.
For commercial businesses with bulk containers or dumpsters, Monday’s routes will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday commercial routes will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday routes will stay the same.
