Statesville City Government Offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 26 and Tuesday, Dec. 27 in observance of Christmas. The garbage collection schedule for the week of Dec. 26-30 is the following:
Residential routes: Monday routes will be collected on Wednesday. Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected on Thursday. Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Friday.
Commercial routes with garbage cans or rollout containers: Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday and Thursday routes will be collected on Thursday; Friday and Saturday routes will be on their regular schedule.
Businesses with dumpsters and bulk containers: Monday will operate on a regular schedule; Tuesday and Wednesday routes will operate on Wednesday; Thursday and Friday routes will be on their regular schedule.
Undecorated live Christmas trees will be picked up from the curb beginning Dec. 28.
